Case Study for TerpWork
This is TerpWork. Created by me and my group members: Justin, Brandon, Rachael, and Andy. The image below is the low fidelity prototype. I worked on the customer service slide for this particular one. For the more final prototype, I worked on the customer service slide, the how to apply to jobs slide, and the getting started. For the first prototype, we focus on making the color scheme in grayscale to get a general layout of how the app should be.

Background
The goal was to create an app that would help University of Maryland students specifically. Originally, we wanted to focus on a construction app, but due to some of the logistical challenges, we decided to shift to a job search app that is tailored to the creative tech majors. The low fidelity prototype focuses on how we wanted our screens and icons laid out. Then when we shifted to the final prototype, we added colors and text that matched the University of Maryland theme/brand.
DigiCloset
This app is about creating a tailored digital closet for users. https://www.figma.com/proto/oWkfg7tE4V2Z2vfZmx4wbZ/Prototype?node-id=256-297&t=GQnbHUKBKmpu8pT9-1
Case Study for DigiCloset
DigiCloset was created by me and my group members: Bethany, Immy, Nikki, and Sophia. The image below is our initial grayscale prototype. It set the foundation before we decided on our color scheme. We did user testing by interviewing our peers on a potential fashion app. Within the busyness of young adult life, many people struggle with coming up with outfit ideas and what to wear.

My role in the team as a UI UX designer
-focused on what are the fashion needs of users
-brainstormed and ideated concepts
-designed the UI of the custom feature analysis frames
-researched and assisted with the prototype
-interviewed college students on what they would like in a fashion app
-reminded and communicated with the team about the tasks at hand
What I learned from potential users
- They are not the most fashion savvy and find picking clothes a hassle. So it was important making an app friendly for beginners.
- They need something efficient and affordable. As college students, most of them do not have the means to splurge on a fashion app. So making it free or cheap would be helpful.
- They wanted something unique and customizable. Having a fashion app tailored to a user’s personal outfit needs was very important.

Background
The goal was to create a fashion app that gave users custom saved clothing suggestions. Our app unique by the fact that we offer color season analysis and body shape type analysis to give clothing suggestions. Those two slides and ideas were my main ideas. It made our app stand out from any of the existing fashion closet apps on the market. Thus, I worked on those slides for the final prototype as well as the clickable aspect.

Here is the beginning screens that show users how to login and sign up for their account.

These are the screens for saving clothes to your closet and your favorite.

The color analysis and body type shape frames were I created. I searched for default colors and shapes.

User feedback: Some of the icons in our mid fidelity prototype were confusing. We had to add more screens.

Takeaways
Fashion has always been a huge passion of mine. Thus, I knew I wanted to incorporate this interest into an app idea. It can be time consuming and expensive to find your personal style. That is why I wanted to take part of this project: to help others with their fashion sense. I learned about how to create a unique brand and think more creatively to make a closet app that is worth using.
